Announcing our new vaccine program where vaccines are free forever!
We believe that the most important part of the relationship between you, your pet and your veterinarian is a complete routine physical exam at least annually for your pet. While vaccines play a vital role in preventing diseases, just getting “shots” is not enough to ensure the longest, healthiest life for your family dog or cat. In order to encourage everyone to bring their pet in, at least once a year for a healthy pet physical exam, we have a new, affordable vaccination program that emphasizes the importance of the physical exam.
Once enrolled, we commit to administering all core vaccines as established by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) at no additional charge for the pet’s lifetime. A Bear Valley Veterinary Care Center veterinarian will determine the vaccination and exam schedule best for your pet, as not all vaccines are needed or required every year. Current AVMA core vaccines for dogs include: Rabies, Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. Current AVMA core vaccines for cats include: Rabies, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia.
Cats and dogs can be enrolled at any time, but the earlier you enroll, the more you save over the life of the pet. Both existing clients and new clients are welcome to enroll. There is a one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee to join the program. The plan is non-transferable to any other pet or owner and is immediately terminated in the unfortunate event of loss, death or rehoming of the animal.
Your commitment is to bring your enrolled cat or dog in at least once a year for a regularly priced healthy pet exam. A Bear Valley Veterinary Care Center veterinarian must perform the healthy pet exam at least once every 12 months in order for the pet to remain enrolled in the plan. If you fail to present the pet for a healthy pet exam more than 30 days past the due date of your pet’s annual exam, the offer becomes invalid and you will need to pay for core vaccines at the current full price rate. Physical examinations done at other hospitals or when the pet is ill will not satisfy the exam requirements for the program.
Bear Valley Veterinary Care Center provides courtesy reminders for exams and vaccinations by postcards, emails and phone calls. However, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure your pet comes in on time for exams and vaccinations. Bear Valley Veterinary Care Center cannot be held responsible for failure of reminders to arrive.
Other non-core vaccine services and products received or purchased at the time of the visit are NOT free and are at an additional cost to the exam fee. These additional costs may include services and products such as medications, heartworm tests, fecal examinations, de-worming, flea treatments, heartworm prevention, FeLV/FIV tests, and non-core (lifestyle) vaccines. Bear Valley Veterinary Care Center reserves the right to change the details and the enrollment fee for the vaccination plan. The enrollment fee is non-refundable.
